u never know who's viewing your blog. so we have to be extremely careful abt what we are blogging abt. because 'in a multi-cultural society like SINGAPORE, where any attempts to arouse racial discrimination is a huge criminal act, and as responsible citizens of Singapore, we have to be careful and not blog irresponsibly.see, so dangerous, blogging and talking over the internet also must be careful. Don be surprised if you get arrested for blogging. but DON FRET! i teach u how to not break the law. ACCORDING TO THE Singapore Broadcasting Authority's Internet Code of Practice. The Singapore Broadcasting Authority's Internet Code of Practice prohibits material, which is "objectionable on the grounds of public interest, public morality, public order, public security, national harmony, or is otherwise prohibited by applicable Singapore laws". so, i tell you. the best way is, don blog. what if my say the coffeeshop uncle don agree, what if my blog ppl see alr they feel insecure, cos i blog abt ghost before. how? ohhh, in Singapore, no need for freedom of speech. u see the government is so nice, alr brought us from Brit colony to First world nation. not bad alr lah. They think we have little say in government, since we 'have pledged to 'build a democratic society' in our national pledge, they have initiated the speakers' corner, just for us! appreciate what they give us okay? although u must register with the police, the speeches are to be recorded by the government, and whatever is recorded is kept for 6 years just in case ppl review your speech already then they feel not happy or insecure then they can sue you. BUT, it's so nice alr, like a watershed in Singapore's democratic freedom okay? so must listen to the government, because they are nice. (: JIAYOU SINGAPORE GOVT! BUILD MORE IRs! BUILD MORE BIGBIGWHEELS! BRING THE WORLD CUP TO SINGAPORE ALSO! I LOVE SINGAPORE! im serious. disclaimer: the above few paragraphs are actually for comic relief but i seriously think that we need more freedom of speech, exercised by self restraint rather than governmental limitations. besides, this shows that im not a politically apathetic teenager. and, i love Singapore! (: |
