RULE NUMBER ONE

on saturday, i went to watch rule number one with my friend, it was some last min thing which was initiated like this friend: haiya, nvm la, (yadda yadda) friend: ya lor me too, im damn bored, what a way to start the holidays. me: how about we go out? at least better than rotting. friend: go where, marina, (and starts to list many places) me: go marina, can go IT fair too. friend: kk cya later oh i was late as always and we decided to watch a movie, and we settled on rule number one, she didnt want horror films and i thought it wont be that scary and i decided to lie lie abit, i said : aiya, is policeman show, don worry, only abit scary. apparantly she didn't know what show it was about and just went ahead with me to watch. haha. in the cinema, woah, i think she didn watch 3/4 of the show, cos after the show, i asked her abt some parts, she said she was covering her eyes, LOL. anws, that show was the nicest horror movie i watched in a cinema, and i even wrote a movie review on yahoo. but i copied it here too:
What I loved most: The effects and the plot. What I really hated: How the ghost possess humans by the human touch. The film is definitely worth the dollar, shocking visuals (throughout the film), explicit images (look at Fiona's ghastly scene), though the acting is not as good, pity Fiona couldn't use her own voice and needs dubbing. Storyline is nice as it has most of the loose ends tied up though there are some parts of the story that are not corresponding to the storyline, like how the ghost managed to possess the girl who drowned yet the movie was filled with cliffhangers, and it makes one want to watch it on, even though the effects are rather stunning. Compared to Kelvin Tong's previous horror production, The maid, it is a stark improvement in terms of the predictability of the plot, the suspense it captures and the storyline is great! Note: When watching the movie, try to keep your eyes and ears open, or else some might find the movie lousy as it is scenes flow quickly and needs constant attention. oh and, give it a rest at how ghosts possess humans, vampires and werewolves can bite and infect humans, why can't ghosts do the same, it's fiction. so give it a rest. Based on the criterion of impact, the visuals and audio effects, complement the overall plot of the movie and draws your attention, so it can be for sure that one wouldn't fall asleep during the show. Enjoy. (ps: try to pay close attention to the ending part of the movie.) |
