today, im going to blog about the internet and the kind of people it has created. this post is directed towards no one and any resemblance to anyone is purely coincidental and bears no malice. thank you.firstly, i want to blog about TWITS! yes, twits. i define it as people who name themselves :'missyDEAD, princess, miss, and many more, just go friendster and u can see.' these people lubx tuh type iNn sUch aN anNoYiNg maNnEr. then they think it's very cute and kawaii. then these people will go edit their photos with the fruits of technology that brings them PHOTOSHOP. these people will make their looks so much different from the reality. then, very often people are mislead by these distorted looks. alright, then, these twits are often branded as ah lians who love techno songs which have totally no meaning. in my opinion, they are just plain empty. they have to make their words online look flashy to make people read them instead of the content. but anws, it is so annoying to read those prose. =/ next, im going to blog about anon taggers. these anon taggers like to jump from blog to blog and tag remarks which can help or worsen the situation. knowing some anon taggers myself, the taggers actually have good intentions, however, due to their misunderstanding of the situation, they tend to worsen the situation as they will complicate matters for the blogger and the readers alike. so i believe that people should not hide under the anonymity. since they want to make a stand and speak up, they should identify themselves before making their stand. besides, it's basic manners to identify your self before saying sth to a stranger yes? so, come out of your closet! and speak up, with your names on! =D thirdly, im covering those addicts. there are two by products of the internet that i want to talk about in this post, porn, and online gaming. firstly, porn has created the abyss of darkness in the internet. it's often regarded as some forbidden zone by parents and the government alike. this phenomena has been since on even before the internet was invented, but, the internet made things alot easier for those sex addicts who cant score in reality to have a haven to lie in. next is the internet games. look at maplestory, gunbound, dota and WOW. these have created a place where nerds or people who have no life flourish in their virtual life. theres no doubt that some games can improve your hand eye coordination, however, many people tend to bully or intimidate people online just because they are superior in the games. these people have no life. some top gamers in maplestory are also lifeless. all they do is to gain experience and look, they are the top. and they would stop at nothing to remove opposition. so these people should get a life. lastly, im going to talk about bloggers. there are many types of bloggers. like the mr brown, xiaxue, tartaric, these people blog about different things. some blog about their sex life, some talk about the government, some talk about their aimless lives, and some, like me, blog about the ups and downs of my life. however, this bloggers will often find themselves under siege because they blogged sth which is not agreed upon by others. my friend's blog is mainly about her religion, then she is now under pressure from those anon taggers which disagree with her view. i believe it's the problem of freedom of speech. u can say about me, i can say about you. and it just keeps going on. some people like me, blog about their daily lives, then some of my grievances will make some people unhappy, and thus, people tag and scold back. and it just keeps getting worse. oh yes, another case study of a blogger who got into trouble was my friend, tan yan shan. he blogged sth about what the principal said and added some of his personal opinions into it. then he almost got expelled but now he's safe and sound. i don wish to dwell into this but, whoever reported him, pls think whether what you did was a cowardly act or a heroic act. lastly, i just wish to say that yes, we are in a democratic society, we have freedom of speech, but take responsibility with what u say and don hide in anonymity, because what you say would not be taken seriously with. as compared to taggers who are brave enough to tag with their names. thank you for reading. =) |
